Kindergarten Eligibility: In order for your child to be eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year, he/she is required to be 5 years-old on or before January 1, 2020.  Please note: Kindergarten "is not" a lottery based program.  Seats are guaranteed for age appropriate students.  

PK3 and PK4 Information (Bright Beginnings Program):  Initial registration and lottery for the 2019-2020 Pre-K class has ended.  If you've been notified that you've won a seat, verification appointments for Pre-K will begin on May 1, 2019.  You may register now and book a verification appointment by following instructions in Step 1 below. Don't forget to make your deposit with the Rocky Hill Park and Recreation Department to secure your seat.

Steps to get your child pre-registered for the 2019-2020 school-year:

Step 1: Fill-out the required forms online via our Infosnap School Registration System powered by PowerSchool available by clicking here.  Please note, a valid email address is required to set-up an Infosnap account.

Step 2: Once you have all the required documents listed below, please make a verification appointment to complete your student’s registration.  What will I need to bring to my registration verification appointment at the BoE?

1. Parent/Guardian’s Valid Photo Identification.


2. Proof of Parent/Guardian’s Residency (Residency Requirements available online here).  

Please Note: If you are a new Rocky Hill Resident and you are leasing your dwelling, a signed lease and a Service Verification Letter (SVL) from a utility is required for proof of address. Please call your utility directly to obtain an SVL.  If you recently purchased a home, the Property Deed and SVL will meet the residency requirements.


3. Student’s Birth Certificate or Passport or Other (used to determine student’s age only).


4.  State of Connecticut Health Assessment Form and Immunization Record.  Physical must be dated after July 1, 2018.

Out-of-state physical forms are not accepted.  In addition, physical are required to be completed in the United States.  If you are coming from out-of-state, please have your child’s physician fill-out the Connecticut Health Assessment Form prior to moving to Connecticut as it is required for school admission.

Parents, please fill-out the first page, sign and date.  In addition, please be sure your child’s full legal name and date of birth is on each page.  


5. A documented Tuberculin Test by a physician may be required. Please consult your child’s pediatrician. TB Form for physician sign-off available for printing at the end of your infosnap registration session or by clicking here.  A physician may also fill-out the TB test section on the Connecticut Health Assessment Form or provide its own documentation.


6. Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan (if applicable).


7. Transfer Certificate if student(s) attended a foreign school.
